Home for the Holidays is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization whose mission is to unite military families who cannot afford to be together for important occasions. For these men and women, so much can happen while they are away from home. First steps, a wedding announcement, an unforeseen illness, or the upcoming holiday season—these events are so important. Home for the Holidays wants to help give service men and women the opportunity to be a part of these memories.

Home for the Holidays' 2013 Online Application Process Open for One-Month Only Starting Monday, September 16th!

  • Home for the Holiday's 2013 online application will re-open for the 2013 holiday season starting at Noon Pacific Time on Monday, September 16th and will close at Noon Pacific Time on Friday, October 11th.
  • Eligible applicants are active duty military and their immediate family members.
  • Awards will cover travel costs which include airfare, car rental and train tickets. This does not include transportation costs associated with traveling to and from the above mentioned means of transportation.
  • Applicant's departure date must fall between Saturday, November 16th and Sunday, January 5th.
  • Decisions will be made and Awardees notified no later than Friday, October 18th.
  • Active duty member's chain of command must approve a request for time off. Home for the Holidays will contact member's chain of command to substantiate application and time off approval prior to making an award.
