About Us
For too many, the expense of traveling home for holidays, special events or times of family need is a luxury that is
delayed or skipped. Home for the Holidays, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization devoted to bringing together
families who are physically separated during important occasions. We provide support to unite people with loved ones
when they would not otherwise have the opportunity or means to be together.
Our Mission
Our mission is to unite military families who cannot afford to be together for important occasions.
Who We Serve
The men and women who serve in our country's military make great personal sacrifices. Separated from loved ones,
they are unable to share both everyday and extraordinary life experiences with them. For these men and women,
so much can happen while they are away from home. First steps, a wedding announcement, an unforeseen illness,
or the upcoming holiday season—these events are so important. Some occur without warning. Home for the Holidays
wants to help give service men and women the opportunity to be a part of these memories, or to be with loved ones
in times of need.
Our Awards
Home for the Holidays awards are given to men and women deployed by the military, especially those who have been unable
to reconnect with family members between multiple deployments. Depending on an applicant's need, Home for the Holidays
may fund some or all transportation, lodging and food expenses.
Application Process
Home for the Holidays awards are determined through a highly automated process governed by selection criteria developed by
our independent Awards Committee. The committee members are unrelated to all potential awardees and do not qualify for
any benefits from the organization.
